Malisa Komolthiti
I am a mother, educator, and painter. For me, these roles came without warning. All are fulfilling and meaningful. Born and raised in Thailand but relocated to the United States in 2006. I have taught at many universities in Thailand and the United States. I am fortunate to have educated wonderful students from North Bangkok University, Eastern Asia University, Assumption University, Southeast Asia University, Stamford International University, Defense Language Institute, and University of Cincinnati. I received my bachelor’s from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, my master’s from NIDA, Thailand and my doctorate from Northeastern University in Boston. I first learned art in middle school and from my grandfather's friend who was a professional artist.
To me, art, at its root, is the way to express feeling, perspective, and character. These expressions should not be limited to any shapes or forms. I am an impressionist and abstract artist and have been painting less traditional representational styles. I also work with interior designers and home owners for the perfect art that will suit your need. Just tell me the size and theme color. I will create a unique artwork for you.
I hope you love my art and support a new artist!
